Agradwip is a small, picturesque village under Katwa subdivision in Purba Bardhaman district.

Agradwip is a village rich in history and culture, famous for its mythological ties to Gobinda Ghosh, who started the renowned "Agradwip'er Mela" by the Bhagirathi River. It is also known for Ganga Kishor Bhattachariya, who established the first press during the British era.
